Rumors, lies and innuendos spread far, wide and fast on the internet

I am definitely agree that rumors, lies and innuendo spread far, wide, and fast on the internet. Statics shows that most of the people in the world spending their day most infront of their own laptop or pc, especially teenagers. There are millions of people who visits social sites like myspace and twitter everyday. In these social sites or blogs, they can make new friends, have a chatting with each and everyone of them, express out their feeling. In this case, we could see that not all of them are nice people. They could just lie about themselves and can be completely other person. There one case in USA that a 15-year-old girl had made a suicide about her ‘myspace’ boyfriend dumping her. She did not even know the guy and when he broke with her by writing a message in that social site, she became very sad because she never had a boyfriend before. So in just a few days, she did something unappropriate to herself which led to death. The true story is that one of her neighbour act like a guy to prank her and be her boyfriend but the police cannot investigate which one of them is the criminal. This shows that internet is the strongest medium for spreading rumors and news among people in the world. There are true and false information in the internet, so we must be careful if we want to find any information in it.
